Alan completed an internship with Compass in the spring of 2021 and joined full-time later that year. He is a financial advisor with LPL Financial. Alan holds the Series 7 and 66 registrations through LPL Financial and is a licensed life insurance agent for the state of Iowa. In 2023 Alan became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®
Alan is from Sioux Center, IA. He graduated from Northwestern College (Orange City, IA) with a bachelor’s degree in finance and agricultural business. At Northwestern, Alan met his wife Sarah and they got married June 26, 2021. Sarah attended Drake University as a graduate student in their Occupational Therapy doctoral program. She currently works at ChildServe in Johnston. They live in Urbandale, where they enjoy exploring the extensive recreation trails and trying new restaurants.
In his free-time, Alan can be found riding his bike, reading a good book, or spending time with his family outdoors. A personal goal is completing the “100 Books to Read in your Lifetime” by Goodreads.
Alan enjoys using his passion for helping others, especially when it involves their financial journey.
