Steve Conard is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin and graduated with a BSB degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in 1983.
Steve made the transition from the corporate world in 2000 to pursue his professional passion for personal finance. In his former corporate life, Steve held field supervision and operations management positions with Wells Fargo Financial from 1984 to 2000, earning multiple distinguished performer designations, but is proudest of receiving the prestigious recognition as top regional personnel developer during his tenure within the organization.
Steve entered the investment industry in 2001 and joined Compass in July 2004. Steve achieved an important personal goal of earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2006. In addition to serving his clients, Steve’s primary internal roles at Compass Financial are leading the firm’s investment committee and mentoring our team members.
Steve has two adult sons, and is empty‐nesting with his wife in West Des Moines. An avid follower of the Green Bay Packers, Steve’s other great passions are playing the pedal steel guitar and officiating high school sports in and around central Iowa.
Steve finds great satisfaction in various volunteer pursuits in his church and the community. He is a proud Rotarian, having served in various leadership capacities in the Rotary Club of Adel since 2001.
