Steven joing the Compass team in October of 2025. Prior to this, Steven graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Management and Accounting. During his time at Iowa State, he met his wife Sydney whom he married in 2020. After graduation he spent 7 years in a corporate tax role in Ames, Iowa. In 2023 they moved to West Des Moines to be closer to Sydney's family and work. In 2024 they welcomed their first child Ellie.
As a financial advisor, Steven combines two of his favorite things, his analytical love for spreadsheets with a passion for helping clients achieve their goals. He believes that behind every row of data is a human story worth investing in. By turning cold numbers into personalized roadmaps, he builds deep, lasting partnerships based on trust.
When he isn’t chasing around his daughter Ellie or walking the dogs, Steven stays busy with a wide range of hobbies. You can usually find him cooking, traveling, woodworking, or playing card and board games. He also enjoys hunting, playing soccer and baseball, gaming, running, reading, practicing blacksmithing and guitar, or doing yoga with his wife.
